Today was the Monday before spring break starts, and I am so excited. Today, we started to read a piece of text then we had to answer questions per paragraph- to follow along and stay attentive while reading. I did not finish in class, but I read the rest of the story at home so I could be prepared for Tuesday’s lesson. On Tuesday, we will be having shortened classes with an assembly at the end of the day. I also hope to be very productive tomorrow as well. I also started a new book today, one I am very much enjoying. Today was a good day.

American Literature today consisted of taking a pop quiz on what we have been learning the past few days/last week. I was a little concerned, but I ended making a 95 on the quiz. I am proud and thankful for my score. I am also very excited for the weekend because I am going camping, though that means I won’t have too much free time. Either way, I’m very excited that it’s Friday.

Recently in American Lit, we have been working on claims and analyzing claims. I’ve worked on claims a lot when I was little, so it’s pretty easy for me. I enjoy creating my own claims, rather than finding claims from a passage. I like this because I like putting my own ideas and opinions into words when I get the chance. That goes for most writing, I love to read but I also love to write.

In American Lit today we read an article from Newsella and answered some questions on it. The article was on the advancements of robots and technology. My personal opinions on the article are that you can only control what you do, and sometimes you have to just go with the flow and change on the world around you. There are pros and cons to everything in life, there is only one thing you can control thought. Your own actions are what you can control.
